Blackboard may come down without additional warning each morning during these hours.
Additional downtimes are occasionally needed to install patches, etc. These will be announced on the MySOU Login page in the "Information Service Alerts" section. At such times, you will not be able to reach this page or otherwise log in.
You do not need to create an account. If you are registered for SOU courses this term, you have a Blackboard account.
Click on the “Login” button on the left. Your Blackboard account name is the same as your SOU network account name. If you do not know your account name, go the the Lookup Account Name page.
Fill in the information on the form to receive your username.
New accounts are created with a randomly generated password. If you have forgotten your password, and MySOU is not available, click on the “Login” button on the left, then click on the “Forgot your password?” link.
This will bring up a form asking for your name and either Blackboard user name or e-mail.
These must match the information you have in Blackboard. A message will be sent to the e-mail account you have listed in Blackboard, giving you instructions and a link to create a new password.
Remember, changing your password in Blackboard will cause an "External Account Synchronization" window
the next time you try to use Blackboard single sign on from MySOU. Entering your new password will restore the
MySOU single sign on function for Blackboard.
